What Fleet Tracker is
For each vehicle, Fleet Tracker shows its last known location and the information its manufacturer makes available — such as mileage, ignition, fuel or battery level and warning lights — with up to 90 days of location history. Every value shows the time the vehicle recorded it, and out-of-date information is clearly marked.
There is no tracking device to buy or fit: Fleet Tracker uses the vehicle’s own connected service.
Who it is for
Vehicle dealers, rental and hire businesses, and other organisations in the UK that operate their own vehicles. Fleet Tracker is a service for businesses; it is not offered to consumers. It is currently in a pilot, available by invitation.
Where the data comes from
Vehicle data comes from the manufacturers’ connected services through High Mobility, an independent connected-car data provider. Access is granted vehicle by vehicle: Fleet Tracker asks for it only after the business has confirmed it may track the vehicle, and the manufacturer then activates it — some manufacturers ask the vehicle’s owner to consent in their own app or portal. What each vehicle reports, and how often, depends on its make and model.
Track My Asset is independent: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of High Mobility or any vehicle manufacturer.
Our approach to vehicle data
Authorisation first
No vehicle is connected until the business has recorded its lawful basis and confirmed that drivers have been informed.
Only what is needed
Data is received only for vehicles approved for the business’s account; anything else is rejected.
Honest about age
Every value shows when it was recorded, so old information is never presented as live.
Separated by business
Each business sees only its own vehicles, enforced by the database itself.
Easy to stop
“Stop tracking” stops a vehicle’s data at once and asks for its access to be ended.
No selling, no advertising
Vehicle data is used only to provide the service.
£10 per vehicle per month. No contract.
No VAT added.
