Fleet Tracker

Vehicle tracking for businesses

Know where your vehicles are — and how current that information is.

Fleet Tracker shows vehicle dealers and rental businesses the location and status of their own vehicles, using the connected services built into the vehicles by their manufacturers. Nothing to fit, and every value shows when it was recorded.

Fleet Tracker is in a restricted pilot: access is by invitation only.

What Fleet Tracker gives you

A clear view of your fleet, built on data the vehicles already produce.

How vehicle data reaches Fleet Tracker

  1. You add the vehicle

An administrator adds the vehicle by its VIN and confirms that drivers have been told about the tracking and which lawful basis applies.

  2. Access is requested and approved

Fleet Tracker asks High Mobility, an independent connected-car data provider, for access. The manufacturer activates it; some ask the vehicle’s owner to consent in their own app or portal.

  3. Data arrives from the vehicle

The vehicle’s built-in connected service reports its data, which Fleet Tracker shows with the time each value was recorded. No device is fitted to the vehicle.

Which information is available, and how often a vehicle reports, depends on its manufacturer and model. No data is received for a vehicle until its access has been approved, and tracking can be stopped at any time.

Responsible with vehicle data

Location data can reveal a lot about the people who drive. Fleet Tracker requires the business to confirm its lawful basis and that drivers have been informed before any vehicle is connected, shows each business only its own vehicles, and never sells data or uses it for advertising.
